One person was killed and seven others were injured, one of them seriously, when the mini bus in which they were proceeding to Guruvayoor Temple, collided with a car at Pallikulam NH-17, about four km from here, early today. According to Valapatnam police, the deceased was identified as Uthajappa (40) s/o Govindappa, Rani Bandhur, Medileri (PO) in Karnataka. He was driver of the bus. The seriously injured was dental doctor Raghend (24) of Mangad near Kallyasseri. He was driving the car. He was admitted in a private hospital here. Other injured were Basavaraj (28), Gireeshan (42), Prasad (30), Anadhan (30) Santhakumar (31) Hrishikumar (20), all passengers of the bus. They were admitted to a private hospital.
