Two foreign nationals die in road accident in Rajasthan

BIKANER: Two foreign nationals were killed in a road accident near Deshnok village of the district when the car in which they were traveling collided head on with a bus coming from opposite direction.

Deshnok Police Station SHO Jitendra Swami told TOI that the tourist couple from the Netherlands was returning to Bikaner after performing a darshan at Karni Mata Temple at Deshnok. "Just three kilometers away from the temple towards Bikaner, their car bearing number DL-1C-0871 collided with a bus coming from Bikaner. The collision was so severe that the car got totally damaged and the couple sustained serious injuries. A police team rushed to the spot and sent the tourist couple to PBM Hospital at Bikaner. During treatment, both of them died," police said. The condition of Vinod, the driver of the car, is still critical and he is under treatment.

The deceased were identified as Dong Segari (27) and Alisa (25) of the Netherlands. The bodies were kept in the mortuary of PBM Hospital. The police have also intimated the Netherlands embassy about the accident. The bus has been seized and registered a case u/s 279,337 & 304 A of IPC against the driver of the bus, who managed to flee from the scene.
