Two killed, 1 hurt in Bokaro mishaps

BOKARO: Two persons were killed while one was injured in three road accidents in the district in the past 24 hours.

The first accident took place at Putkadih village in Petarwar area in which Phulchand Singh, a CCL employee, was killed. Singh, a resident of Kathara, was going home on his motorbike when a four-wheeler from opposite direction hit his vehicle. The locals rushed him to the hospital where doctors declared him brought death, said police.

A 20-year-old youth was killed when a bus hit his motorbike at Urkid Moad here on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Ashwini Kumar Das, a resident of Sector-IV. His father is a BSL employee. Das was returning home from Siwandih area around 5.30pm. The bus was coming from opposite side and going to Aurangabad (Bihar).

Sunday witnessed another road accident between Jainamoad and Petarwar area. Victim Chandan Kumar has been badly injured in the accident. Kumar, a resident of Chandankyari block, was returning from Ranchi when his car lost balance and hit the tree. He got trapped inside the car and the local residents pulled him out of the car. Bokaro SP Kuldeep Dwivedi said FIRs were lodged with the police stations concerned.
